On May 19th, the Barrio de la Estación in Haro will once again be the epicenter of global wine with the third edition of the Barrio de la Estación International Wine Encounters (BEIWE), a unique event that this year will unite us with the iconic region of Burgundy. Following the success of previous editions with Piedmont and Bordeaux, this event reaffirms the international vocation of the Barrio, bringing together history, terroir, and tradition with some of the world’s best wine producers.

During this professional event, the host wineries – La Rioja Alta, S.A., CVNE, Bodegas Gómez Cruzado, Bodegas Bilbaínas – Viña Pomal, Bodegas Muga, and Bodegas RODA – will welcome six renowned Burgundy houses: Maison Albert-Bichot, Maison Olivier Leflaive, Ropiteau Frères, Maison Joseph Drouhin, Maison Louis Jadot, and Domaine Laroche & Maison Champy.

Throughout the day, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy exclusive tastings of the great wines from both regions and complementary activities that will delve into the winemaking excellence of Rioja and Burgundy. At La Rioja Alta, S.A., our winemaker Julio Sáenz will present the current vintages and new releases of our iconic Gran Reserva wines, which will reach the market in 2025: Gran Reserva 890, Gran Reserva 904, and Viña Arana Gran Reserva.

For the first time in the history of the event, a limited number of tickets will be available for wine enthusiasts who wish to experience this event firsthand. Tickets will be available for purchase starting on March 10th through the Barrio de la Estación Association’s website.

This edition solidifies BEIWE as an unmissable event for professionals and wine lovers, uniting two regions with a shared commitment: preserving the essence of their land and producing extraordinary wines.
