From our Galician winery Lagar de Fornelos, we present the new 2023 vintage of Pazo de Seoane Rosal. With a refreshed look, we welcome the tenth vintage of this very special white wine, crafted since the 2014 harvest in our Rías Baixas home.
Pazo de Seoane stands out for its typical O Rosal style, reflecting the winemaking tradition of this municipality in Pontevedra and its surroundings. The local Albariño grape is complemented by other native varieties such as Loureiro, Caiño Blanco, and Treixadura, contributing intriguing aromatic nuances, complexity, subtlety, and elegance.
In the words of Lagar de Fornelos' winemaker, Ángel Suárez, “the presence of such rare yet excellent varieties – Loureiro, Caíño, and Treixadura – adds greater complexity to the Albariño. It’s a unique, very personal wine deeply connected to the land.”
These characteristics, enhanced by this excellent vintage, have recently earned the new Pazo de Seoane 2023 the Grand Gold and Best White Wine awards at the 2024 Baco Awards by the Spanish Union of Wine Tasters.
Pazo de Seoane 2023 is a highly gastronomic wine, ideal for appetizers, seafood and fish, soft cheeses, oriental cuisine, rice dishes, pasta, and poultry.
