The Tesla car company now has a charging point for its electric vehicles in Haro. La Rioja Alta, S.A. winery, located in Haro’s famous Railway Station District, has been chosen for the strategic implementation of its first Tesla charging station in a town that receives tens of thousands of visitors from around the world every year, who come to enjoy its wines, food and wine tourism experiences.

This new charging station will be operational during the usual winery opening hours to cater to the charging needs of the cars built by the American manufacturer. In addition, another universal charger next to the Tesla supercharger will make it possible to charge all kinds of electric vehicles while their occupants enjoy a guided tour, a tasting or a meal at one of the private dining rooms in La Rioja Alta, S.A..

With this new initiative, the company chaired by Guillermo de Aranzabal takes yet another step in its determined commitment to environmental care, with actions including the recent installation of a solar farm that will avoid the annual emission of 41.57 tonnes of CO2, limiting treatments in vineyards managed according to integrated viticulture practices, using clean energies like biomass and the decision to experimentally manage 16 hectares of estate-owned vineyards in Rioja Baja and Ribera del Duero following ecological viticulture practices.
